This bikini in the Gossip Girl line of Malibu Dream Girl — as featured on Swimwear Boutique (that’s SwimwearBoutique.com, don’t forget!) — is called Urban Girl. Very apt for the show, don’t you think?

The top, as you can see, is a halter top. Like bandeau tops, halters are also extremely popular in the world of swimwear.

This particular halter top is fixed with a band around the area under the bust, as well as a tie at the bust, featuring a lively, edgy cheetah design. The stripes are beautifully accented and complemented by a stylish and metallic silver.

The matching laced bottoms have a hipster style with lace-up detailing. On one hip, there is a matching tie with the cheetah print.

Actually, the type is classified by Swimwear Boutique as a “long bandeaukini.” So basically, it is a long, bandeau style bikini top. It goes without saying, almost, that the bandeau style is extremely popular right now.

This particular top has a cheetah print accented by pink hearts and a little ruffle trimming the bottom hem. Its neck strap can be removed.

The ring side bottoms are low rise with pink rings accenting both hips. It has a matching ruffle along the waist.

The one you see here is, appropriately, called Show Off. The halter top is cuter than cute with an edgy geometric print that bedazzles the eye with bright colors. Just under the bust, there is a ruffle detailing that draws the eye just so.

The low rise bottoms have matching ruffles at the sides, so the whole cuter than cute aspect continues on.

This is the kind of suit that incorporates sweetness and an innocent kind of sex appeal.

Actors, actresses, musicians, other celebrities, and even every day people are influenced by the fashions featured on the show. If one of the characters tries out a new trend one week, you can be sure that by the next day, people all over the world will be emulating it.

Malibu Dream Girl recognizes that and, as such, have launched a line of swimwear called Gossip Girl; the line is, of course, inspired by Gossip Girl as well.

Almost by looking at the picture, you can tell that this bikini has an enviable thread count, but that the material is also comfortable and breathable.

This is the Preto bikini by diNeila Brazil 2010. The top is a bandeau with underwire support, as well as a halter strap that can be removed.

The bottoms are Sawadee fold down bottoms, which is both classic and retro. For one thing, not pictured here, there is a gathered skirt. It can be rolled up to create what you see!

Fittingly, this gorgeous Phuket dress is called Golden Snake. There is most definitely something serpentine and snakelike to be found in this soft, feminine, ultimately flirty dress. And the gold tones are just absolutely stunning. I mean, I am not even a huge fan of gold, but even I have to admit that the color palette here is absolutely heavenly.

The dress is unquestionably elegant, right down to the detail of the accentuating gold ring found at its center. The waist is banded and beautifully shirred. To show a little more skin, there are slits at the sleeves as well as the hips, which also makes for a flow and grace of movement.

Now, as you can see from the photo pictured to the right, this is not a swimsuit. But, as we said in the last post, not every piece of swimwear has to be a one piece or a two piece; beachwear is not regulated to bikinis and monokinis and things like that.

After all, can you not picture the diNeila Brazil 2010 Chakra coconut dress making some serious waves on the beach? This halter dress is absolutely beautiful!

The colors alone are stunning!  I personally love this palette.  This color scheme is one of my favorites, because it is vibrant and eye catching without being just a little too much.
