We have to remember that swimwear is not relegate solely to bathing suits, to one pieces, two pieces, halters, and things of that nature. It encompasses a whole realm of swimwear accessories as well, and that is why we are taking a look at a piece from Tibi 2010 today.

This is the Carousel Ikat, an open shoulder tunic. The gorgeous print is ideal for all types of skin tones, whether you are golden from the sun (or something else!) or fair skinned and pale. Gold ring details connect the sleeves to the shoulders.

What I especially love is the subtly psychedelic print, the way it has a sort of 60s flower child feel, or a groovy 70s vibe.

Today we’re focussing on a swimwear label that’s a little bit more on the classic end of the spectrum; Asha Couture Swimwear (also known as Asha DeMarco swimwear, after the designer). The label’s target audience is not the 16-year old cheerleader, but the sexy (and successful) 30-something woman that knows what she wants, and knows she looks great. The bikinis are sexy, but without ever turning ‘cheap’ in any way – the swimsuits are pure class, and the tunics are perfect for beach walks in any 5-star resort…
