Milly Cabana Swimwear 2009

I saw a few pieces of the Milly Cabana 2008 beachwear collection. They were fresh, colourful and tantalizing. They were also on sale, which was a good thing because it meant one could buy a luxury suit at a quarter of the price but being on sale also meant that the newer pieces were soon on their way. And lo and behold, the official Milly website has added the 2009 Cabana Collection photos.

I have to say this is a huge collection and every piece is gorgeous! Considering the designer, Michelle Smith, was the first American employee sent to Hermés in France, one would expect the designs to be outstanding. Not only does she emphasize quality workmanship with a focus on details, even the name of the collection, Cabana, is well thought out.

What I love about this luxury beachwear ensemble is not only the elegant and glamourous designs but also, the use of fabrics not normally associated with swimwear. Take for example the lime green cashmere beaded cardigan. Who would think of cashmere on the beach or even at a resort? But the look is stunning with the cotton crocheted bikini and stretch cotton skirt finished with thick green waistband and pretty floral pattern band in the width of the white skirt.

Another example of the excellent use of varied fabrics is the silk chiffon hostess dress, a long gown with spaghetti straps, in Mosaic floral print. The large selection of caftans and cover-ups are also made from pretty shades of colours of silk chiffon. All of the bathing suits are made with printed lycra. Each one is unique from the Caribe Botanical Floral Print one piece to the Hawaiian Lei Print string bikini with ruffle trim.

I would not even know where to begin when purchasing from this collection. It is not too often that I adore every piece of a swimwear group.

Hula-La! Swimwear

Hula-La!, a pretty young swimwear label based in Kailua, Hawaii — the perfect location for a true hawaiian bikini company if you ask me.

“The swimwear is sexy, sweet, and oh-so flattering. From beautiful pastel solids with romantic detailing, to fun florals, to groovy dots, to mix-and-match pieces” — all according to the Hula-La! site.

Anyway, the swimwear speaks for itself. The photos below are great!

Haverhill Swimwear

Swimwear designer Monika Hornbostel has been working hard ever since 2001 on the development of her Anika label from her new home in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil — using her experiences in the land of bikinis to create sexy and pretty swimwear… Brazilian cut pieces, skimpy bikinis and lots of colorful prints…

Anika bikinis have been featured in InStyle, Elle and Womenâ€™s Wear Daily — helping the brand to quickly grow a reputation… I looked up the Anika Brazil website but it doesn’t look too well up to date… Yet, there’s quite a lot of online shops selling the 2008 collection, so loads of pics are to be found…

As always, I picked my favorites!

Have Some Vitamin A!

Vitamin A is all about separates. This stylish collection has a wide variety of styles, colors and prints to mix and match to achieve your own personal look. These designs offer class and sophistication without becoming too formal or boring. The prints are fun and different (check out the giraffe) and the colors are pretty and vibrant. Vitamin A is distinctly feminine and sexy, baring just the right amount of skin.
I love the City Wrap top, but then again, I love anything strappy! I think the strappy look hints at a sensual, erotic side without becoming too risque (at least in this case).

Of course, Vitamin A has many more options available for those of you who don’t share my affinity for straps, but there are too many possible combinations for me to show here. You’ll just have to look at the website for more! Don’t forget a cover-up either. Vitamin A has some great French gauze options to coordinate with your perfect bikini. Forget milk, Vitamin A does a body good!

JG4B Bikinis 2008

JG4B is a two-man project between beachwear designer Louise Middleton and graphic artist Jasper Goodall. Together, they create artistically correct swimwear that will attract quite a lot of attention due to the beautiful and somewhat eccentric colors and prints. Both quality- and price-wise, JG4B is on the upper end of the spectrum.

We found quite a few extraordinary pieces on their official website, and have picked our favorites to give you an idea of what JG4B’s style is all about!

Missoni Collection Bikinis

I was browsing the ever so solid Ron Herman website (I’ll be showing more from their site soon as it’s PACKED with goodies), and stumbled upon their Missoni range. As usual the Missoni Collection is pretty expensive, but in my humble opinion — well worth the money.

Betsey Johnson Swim Bikinis for the new season!

I’m discovering more and more beautiful bikinis ever since I decided to fully dedicate all my spare time this week in finding a Hawaii-bikini! Yep, you read it right, I’m going to Hawaii! I love Hawaii, and I obviously need a tropical bikini to match the destination.

I’ve been looking at the Figleaves bikinis as I still have a gift voucher, and I stumbled upon the new Betsey Johnson Swim collection. I think they’ve got the bikini I’m looking for! Their Parasol triangle bikini is PERFECT. Classy yet sexy. Tropical prints. Very Hawaiian!

Figleaves also has the Bows and Whistles Halter set, but I like the Parasol one WAY BETTER!

Norma Kamali Swimwear 2008

Norma Kamali is a revolutionary designer, in love with swimwear. Her name is completely new to Beachwear.cc, but I’m sure quite a few of you have been gazing at her bikinis and swimsuits for quite some time. Today, I found a UK-based online retailer who stocks Norma Kamali called Browns Fashion; and even though prices are steap — pieces are very sexy (and well worth the money!).

Moontide Swimwear 2008

Moontide is a luxury swimwear label we’ve mentioned before (Moontide archives here), and I just got an e-mail off Mio Destino, a luxury lingerie retailer (that, obviously, also carries some swimwear) announcing the arrival of the 2008 Moontide Swimwear on their website.
