Okay, now I love the suits in Jessicaâ€™s new 2008 line-up, but what really caught my eye were the red cowboy boots. That must have really shook them up in Miami. I do like the collection. I love the use of polka dots and the oversized sunglasses. The pieces are cute, of course, not everyone is young enough for cute, but Jessica sure seems to pull it off, and the models do a wonderful job, too. As far as the suits go, I love them. Theyâ€™re different,but not too different. I love the colors, and those cowboy boots just canâ€™t be beat.

I know it may seem like we are focusing on the Jessica Simpson line lately, but when a celebrity does a fashion line itâ€™s big news. So Iâ€™m posting my thoughts on the Jessica Simpson swimwear line.Apparently most people seem to think that Jessica Simpson is somehow representative of the Southern USA. Iâ€™ll tell you a secret from the south: she isnâ€™t. We are not mostly rednecks or dumb blondes. No offense to any Jessica fans out there, but it seems to me that this is how she has made a name for herself.

That being said, her line leaves me extremely disappointed. There are no new designs here, only different colors and patterns. I might be able to settle for that if the suits were really pretty. In my opinion, they arenâ€™t. Iâ€™m not a big Jessica Simpson fan anyway, but I really think she just tried to cash in on â€œDukes of Hazzardâ€. She failed. Her line is in no way Southern. Nor is it pretty. If anyone wanted a great Southern look, donâ€™t expect it here. All Jessica Simpson gives us is a stereotypical unoriginal version of the South and fashion. There may be pieces here and there that are wearable, but nothing worthy of a new swimwear collection. Somehow I expected more.

Our lovely friends at The Lingerie Post have just posted pictures from the long-awaited Jessica Simpson swimwear collection that was shown at the Miami Swim — Mercedes Benz Fashion Week a few days ago. Mandolina warns about the small size of the pics, but still they’re very much worth checking out.
