Subtitle: Is This a Swimsuit or an Optical Illusion?

I … I am kind of inclined to think it is actually an optical illusion. Just looking at this swimsuit makes me a little bit dizzy. It is not just the zebra stripes, it is also the way they are designed, especially in terms of the cut outs.

Gottex 2009 calls this suit “Instinct,” which I have to say, I find pretty ironic. I don’t know that it would take a good instinct to buy this suit. A sense of humor, though? Yeah, I think that would be about right.

Actually, this maillot really is an optical illusion — from the back, it is actually made to look like a bikini. You would never be able to tell that it is technically a one piece.

I honestly think that the cut away bikini style is one of the sexiest, best looking and all around most beautiful and unique fashion trends this season! Not only do these suits absolutely scream sex, but seriously, these designers knew exactly what they were doing when they created them. There are all sorts of different designers that are opting for the cut out design for their swimwear and Amanda Wakeley, Carmen Marc and Gottex are just a few of them!

All of the cut away suits in the picture up there? Well, they have not only need on the runway, but they have been all over different collections and just you wait, in the store windows this year, you will definitely be seeing this trend passed all around.

Now, when you are wearing a bikini, it is pretty obvious that you are trying to attract attention to your lovely body. When you are pairing the bikini with a cut away design, oh baby, you got yourself a smokin’ hot swimsuit! More styles for ’09 in the next blog peeps!

In Style Swimwear is having a sale on practically all their swimsuits. They carry names like Vix, Salinas, Gottex, and a lot more. I found some beautiful swimsuits, and most are under $100, which is great considering the brand names. They have a really good selection of styles like bandeau, bikini, halter, and lots of one-pieces too. The Checkers bikini in the pictures below is just $29. I realize itâ€™s not really swimsuit buying weather, but hey, if you can catch a sale, go for it. You can always stock up for next year.

Bright colors, patent leather, and lots of homemade looking adornments make this collection one to look at. The collection is called â€œBrazilian Bond Girlsâ€ and rightly so. Oberson himself stated â€œThe strength and edginess of the legendary Bond Girls mixed together with the festive colors and shapes of Carnivalâ€. I canâ€™t wait to see what he comes up with next.
