Do you have an apple shape? This is characterized by a round tummy and mid section. A one piece suit, preferably a wrap piece, with tummy control is ideal for this body type.
Or maybe you have a pear shape. That means that you carry your heaviness in your thighs and your tush. In this case, either a swim dress or a skirtini will flatter your shape — but those skirts need to be streamlined and straight, not pleated!
A lot of full sized women have full bust lines. Empire waists, especially when coupled with a tankini, are your best friends. Wrap style suits and underwires are saviors as well.
If you have heavier thighs, think shortini. Make sure the shorts fall to mid thigh or so.
