To my memory, this is the first piece by Cia Maritima that I have ever seen — which is funny, and certainly a shame, because by all the examples I saw, this line is not only beautiful, but quite innovative and unique as well.
This particular piece is the Vintage Bikini by Cia Maritima. It features sliding triangles on the top, ties at both the back and the neck, and a comfortable, soft, jersey material. It is considered a classic string bikini, with gold beads accenting the tip of every string on the suit.
But is this really vintage? I think the suit itself is totally cute, but the fact of the matter is that, here, “Vintage” is not just a name, the bikini is actually described as being vintage inspired, and I just do not see it, unless patterns from the ’60s and ’70s are now being considered vintage.
